iEditingX

In 2015 I created iEditingX -- a YouTube channel where I taught viewers how to edit photos and videos. While it started out as a way to express my creativity and show users how to recreate trendy effects on their ios devices, it quickly turned into a hub for content creators. Over the course of 5 years, I had grown the channel to over 200,000 subscribers and garnered over 10,000,000 views. I posted many tutorials on the channel as well as put out music packs with curated songs to use in videos and designed my own green screens that viewers could download and use for themselves.

Some of my most popular videos showed how individuals could recreate the editing styles of creators with large followings, including my video “How to Edit Like Emma Chamberlain” which now has 525,000+ views. In 2018 I took advantage of the then-blossoning “VSCO Girl” trend to create my most popular video, “5 Ways to Make VSCO Edits”. In just one month the video had garnered 1,000,000+ views and earned me 50,000+ subscribers.

In addition to content creation, I was afforded opportunities to work with companies on sponsored posts and giveaways. I often worked with software companies and occasionally did product reviews. I hosted giveaways with Renderforest and Wondershare – companies with combined estimated revenues to be about $17 million as of 2019. I also worked for content creators such as Sarai Jones (3.56 million subscribers) to edit weekly videos.

Hightidethrift

In March 2020 I started Hightidethrift – an online vintage and second-hand clothing store on Depop. I curate, photograph, market, and ship all pieces myself and to date have sold over 4000+ unique items. As a testament to my success on the platform, I have been a Depop Top Seller for 2+ years now, and have consistently ranked as one of the top 100 sellers on the platform; this past summer I ranked 51st. I have also been invited to various events in NYC to collaborate with other Depop top-sellers.

In addition to my online shop, I have actively pursued opportunities to engage with customers on a personal level by hosting events. This past summer I collaborated with Junk Chick Designs, an eclectic furniture and vintage-decor shop in New Jersey, to orchestrate a pop-up event. The success of this event led to subsequent pop-ups and the establishment of a permanent space within the store, showcasing a curated selection of unique vintage pieces.

To bolster my online presence and enhance my content-creation skills, I strategically leverage social media channels, primarily TikTok and Instagram. I have garnered over 18,000 followers on these various platforms and have several posts gain significant views (40,000+). Creating content on the brand-side of TikTok has given me an essential perspective and ability to appeal to Gen Z viewers who value authenticity and personality from the brands they purchase from.

GreenPortfolio

During the summer 2023, I worked as a Social Media Intern at GreenPortfolio, a climate-finance startup headquartered in New York City. In this role, I played a part in content creation and strategy leading up to the company's product launch scheduled for September 2023.

My core responsibilities comprised of conducting in-depth research on current environmental and financial developments, crafting concise and engaging short-form video content tailored for the platforms Instagram and TikTok, and diligently tracking key performance indicators and analytics to support content decisions going forward. Additionally, I had the opportunity to curate static visual content for GreenPortfolio's Instagram page.

The content I created performed well, such as a Reel I created highlighting Crocs' commitment to achieving net-zero emissions, which gained 1.4k views. This video performed about 3.5 times better compared to the account's average performance.

This experience equipped me with invaluable skills in content creation, social media analytics, and strategic marketing, underscoring my ability to contribute effectively to reach a company’s objectives.

WISE WBC

From the Fall of 2022 through the Fall of 2023, I had the privilege of participating in the esteemed D’Aniello Internship Program under the Whitman School of Management. This highly competitive program pairs interns with entrepreneurs, presidents, or senior executives in thriving, innovative companies within the greater Syracuse metropolitan area. Only seven students are selected each semester, and I was chosen to contribute my skills and dedication to the WISE Women’s Business Center.

In the fall of 2022, I served as the Marketing Operations Intern, focusing on creating impactful marketing materials using Canva, devising a 12-month social media campaign to launch the “Roadmap to Launching a Business” tool, and redesigning several web pages for the center. Concurrently, I undertook a relevant class, crafting a comprehensive business model canvas. Additionally, I conducted an in-depth interview with the center's director, producing a profile piece, and presented my experiences to a panel of Whitman staff and professors.

During the spring and summer of 2023, I assumed the role of Community Outreach Intern. In this capacity, I conducted extensive online research and engaged in community interviews to gain insights into the needs and communication patterns of rural communities in Central New York. I formulated a strategic community outreach plan for Madison County, which I presented to the Madison County Rural Equity Committee. Additionally, I authored various press releases to enhance the center's outreach efforts.

Other Projects

Over the past 3 years at Syracuse University, I’ve had the opportunity to further explore digital media through both the lens of business at the Whitman School of Management and communications at the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. In various classes, I’ve been able to complete projects demonstrating my ability to put together marketing campaigns and create marketing materials to go with them.

I have also created social media posts for The Women’s Network here at Syracuse University and included them in this section.

Above is a pitch video I created for my entrepreneurial marketing course. Specific project details shown in the video and voiceovers were a collaborative effort. I conceptualized, created the effects, and edited this video myself.
